Midea at the 138th Canton Fair: Green Intelligent Tech Shapes the Future of Global Home Appliances

On October 15th, the 138th Canton Fair kicked off at the Pazhou Exhibition Hall in Guangzhou. Under the theme of "Revolutionizing Sustainability", Midea Group made a high-profile appearance with its seven business divisions. It also built an immersive exhibition hall centered on the "Blue Planet" concept, highlighting its corporate responsibility to protect Earth’s ecology through green intelligent technology.

At this year’s fair, Midea focused on showcasing its innovations in smart homes, low-carbon appliances, and energy management—demonstrating to the world the outstanding strength of efficient, intelligent "Made in China".

AI Empowers Smart Living: Midea Leads the New Era of Intelligent Home Appliances

Midea’s room air conditioners premiered a range of innovative products, reaffirming its leadership in global HVAC technology. In AI and energy efficiency, Midea leverages big data, adopts eco-friendly refrigerants, and integrates AI energy-saving algorithms—cutting power consumption by up to 50%. These products operate in a temperature range of -40℃ to 70℃, adapting to extreme climates worldwide.

Midea also launched the Glory Pro split-type air conditioner, a green, energy-saving model tailored for the Nordic market. It features self-cleaning and high-temperature sterilization functions. The upgraded AI full-range temperature control system uses multi-dimensional sensors and deep learning to detect real-time environmental and human conditions, enabling personalized air management.

Midea’s refrigerators aligned with the core theme and unveiled the INSTA-FIT MASTER high-capacity built-in series. By optimizing key processes like cabinet foam layer design, the series offers larger internal storage while maintaining the same external dimensions—solving the conflict between limited household space and fresh-keeping needs.

Midea’s commercial display cabinets, powered by patented microchannel refrigeration technology, deliver significantly faster cooling and better energy efficiency (over 10% higher than peers) and lower noise (reduced by 15%). Combined with minimalist home mini-refrigerators, frost-free freezers, and ice makers, Midea’s refrigeration lineup showcases its full-category manufacturing capabilities.

Midea’s washing machines launched the fully flat built-in FRESCO series washer-dryer sets, supporting highly personalized customization. On-site mini-programs let users preview customization effects in real time to create unique appliance styles. The new models are equipped with multi-language TFT color screens, where colorful icons display functions intuitively for easier operation.

In cleaning products, the S20 Evo Plus uses anti-tangling side-brush technology to reduce maintenance frequency during cleaning. The AT6H supports 180° flat cleaning, easily reaching spaces under 13cm tall.

Midea’s small home appliances focused on home and kitchen scenarios. For home use, it launched fans with brushless DC motors (quieter and more stable), negative-ion pet air purifiers (efficiently removing pet hair with washable filters), and dual-purpose heaters (for standing or lying use, adapting to multiple scenarios).

In the kitchen category, Midea exhibited the Celestial Flex all-electric cooking platform—an IFA award-winning product enabling wireless integrated cooking. It also brought induction cookers with the latest UH technology, fully automatic coffee machines based on the "1+N" platform, customized rice cookers and pressure cookers, and new air fryers with a "fresh air" cooking system.

Green & Low-Carbon Drives the Future: Midea Advances Sustainable Home Appliance Vision

Midea’s kitchen and water heater division adheres to green environmental protection, committed to providing users with efficient, energy-saving innovative products and solutions. The E5P series dishwashers use an innovative base design to free up an additional 18% of loading space. Their energy efficiency reaches Class A-10%, outperforming similar products in water and energy conservation.

Meanwhile, Midea launched a variety of ice beverage machines that precisely match different ice-form needs, serving scenarios from households to commercial spaces. For hot water solutions, products adopt new coil-free heating and clean energy technologies—improving energy efficiency, ensuring environmental friendliness, and achieving smaller machine sizes.

Midea’s microwaves and ovens integrate technological innovation with environmental protection, delivering healthier and more convenient kitchen experiences. The 30NEE5RF70 oven has a 6.3-cubic-foot large capacity, a self-cleaning function (reducing chemical use), and a built-in air-frying mode (enabling low-oil healthy cooking).

The MG820A-S0EE40 built-in microwave oven features a 30-second quick-start function. By optimizing heat preservation structures and heating systems, it concentrates heat utilization and reduces energy waste.

Midea Building Technologies and HeKang Energy Storage have deeply integrated photovoltaics, energy storage, and heat pumps to launch the iEasy Energy Solution—an integrated smart energy system.

This system combines Midea’s photovoltaic inverters and energy storage equipment. Users can manage energy data visually via a unified App, achieving a maximum 90% energy self-sufficiency rate for full-scenario coverage. Additionally, grid-connected photovoltaic inverters independently developed by Hekang New Energy have significantly improved power generation efficiency.

As a key platform for global trade, the Canton Fair not only showcases the strength of "Made in China" but also serves as a vital stage for sustainable development. Midea will adhere to its new strategic axis—"Technology Leadership, Direct User Connection, Digital Intelligence Driven, Global Breakthrough"—deepen digitalization and IoT innovation, and expand investment and layout in global markets.

In the future, Midea will continue to leverage intelligent manufacturing and low-carbon technology as drivers, collaborate with global partners, and jointly build a greener, smarter, and more sustainable quality life.
